When Anita and Chuks decided to dedicate their daughter Arabella to God, they did it the only way they know how: with family, faith, and a room full of love.

The couple behind BC Foods and Store gathered their community on May 17th, 2026 for the baby dedication of their daughter, Arabella Chinaza Chukwudi — one of the most sacred milestones a family can mark, and one they approached with full hearts and open doors.

The day unfolded in two acts

The morning began at Harvesters Toronto with a church service at Cineplex Etobicoke — intimate, reverent, full of prayer and praise. By afternoon, the celebration shifted to the Emerald Banquet Hall, where the room had been transformed into a vision of warmth and elegance: peach and gold balloon arches flanking a luminous butterfly installation, crystal chandeliers catching the light, and tall floral arrangements in blush and white that filled every corner with softness.

Style, grace, and the unmistakable Nigerian touch

The guests arrived dressed to the nines — and true to the colours of the day, the room shimmered in champagne, peach, coral, and gold. The women came draped in exquisite lace, aso-oke, and embroidered gele headwraps in rust, copper, and orange; the men sharp in crisp whites and earthy tones. It was a masterclass in Nigerian celebratory fashion, the kind that announces without words: this occasion is sacred, and we dressed accordingly.

Anita herself wore not one but two stunning looks across the day — a floral lace two-piece with an orange gele for the ceremony, and a sequined peach mini dress for the reception. Chuks, in all-white traditional attire with signature black detailing, was every inch the proud father — calm, grounded, beaming.

The room full of love

What struck anyone who was there was how full the room felt — not just with people, but with warmth. Laughter rang out at the tables. Children ran between chairs. Old friends reconnected. And at the centre of it all, tiny Arabella — the precious reason for every carefully arranged peach balloon and every pressed outfit — was held, adored, and covered in blessing.

The cake-cutting moment, parents flanking a two-tiered white cake adorned with a gold cross and white florals, set on a gold pillar stand against the illuminated arch, became one of the defining images of the afternoon: a family marking the beginning of a new chapter with sweetness and intention.

A community that shows up

Celebrations like these are never just about the family at the centre — they are a reflection of the community that surrounds them. And the community that showed up for Anita and Chuks spoke volumes. From the eldest in the room draped in traditional prints, to the youngest guests in their Sunday best, everyone came to pour love into this family at a moment that deserved it.

For Anita and Chuks, who have built BC Foods and Store into a beloved name in their community, this day was a reminder that behind every business, every brand, every late night and early morning — there is family. There is faith. And on days like May 17th, there is Arabella.

Congratulations to the Chukwudi family on the dedication of baby Arabella Chinaza. May she grow in grace, joy, and the love that filled every corner of that room.
